About
Why the site exists
If you search for a review of most digital products, the first page of results is largely the same page written ten times: the vendor's feature list, rephrased, with a buy button and no drawbacks. Those pages are written by affiliates too. The difference is that they're not trying to help you decide — they're trying to get you to the checkout.
There's room for the other thing: a page that tells you the price, the refund terms, the upsells you'll be offered after you pay, at least three genuine reasons you might not want it, and at least one free alternative. That's what this site is trying to be. Whether it succeeds is for you to judge.
How the site makes money
Affiliate commissions, and nothing else.
When you click a link to a product we cover, you go through a /go/ link on this site to the seller's page. If you buy, the seller pays us a percentage through ClickBank, the payment and affiliate network that handles these products. Your price is the same either way.
That's the entire business model. There is no advertising on the site, no sponsored content, no paid placement, no newsletter sponsorship, and nothing for sale here. No vendor has paid us to cover their product, and no vendor sees a review before it's published.
The full disclosure — including which products we earn on and how the links work — is on the affiliate disclosure page.
Editorial independence, concretely
"Commissions don't affect our verdicts" is easy to say and impossible to verify from the outside, so here's what the site does structurally instead of asking you to take it on trust:
- Every review must carry at least three substantive cons. The publishing system blocks a review with fewer. The commission is identical whether the cons are there or not.
- Every review must list at least one free alternative, which we earn nothing from.
- Commission rate plays no part in what we cover or how we score it. The offers here pay roughly $10 to $60 per sale. The lowest-paying one gets the same scrutiny as the highest.
- We publish unflattering verdicts. The verdict options include "not worth it" and "wait", and they're available on every review.
- Vendor claims are attributed, never restated as fact, and every research-based review carries a table showing which claims we could verify and which we couldn't.
- We don't take payment for placement, and we don't accept edits from vendors — only factual corrections, on the same footing as a reader's correction.
If you think a page on this site fails any of those, tell us. That's a bug report, and it gets treated as one.
What we don't do
- We don't give financial, legal, mechanical or professional advice. A review is information to help you decide; the decision is yours. See terms.
- We don't sell your data, and we don't run ad networks or third-party trackers on the site. What we do collect is spelled out in the privacy policy.
- We don't publish invented testimonials, star-rating widgets we didn't earn, "as seen on" badges, countdown timers or manufactured scarcity.
- We don't use competitor trademarks to trade on them, and we don't describe products in the loaded language that fills this corner of the internet.
